Labor Day 2018

Hey, all!  Happy Labor Day!  It's a bummer for me to tell you this, but there's not going to be a crazy awesome post today.  Sorry about that!  I've been feeling under the weather the past few days and it's really been clouding my mind.  I'm struggling to write this post honestly, but I wanted you to know what was going on. 

I'm hoping that whatever this bug is will have passed by Thursday so I can get a great new post up like normal.

What a weekend to be sick, huh?  We don't have any big traditions or anything for Labor Day, but my family was able to grill out before it started raining cats and dogs here.  Anyway, I hope you all enjoy your holiday and your 3 day weekend!

NaNoWriMo Word Count: 71,423 Hi!  Amy here.  Trying not to panic as I only have today and tomorrow to finish writing this novel that's essentially been ten years in the making.  I hit the word count requirement several days ago, but that doesn't mean anything to me if I don't actually finish the book. So, I'm trying not to freak out, but I'm totally freaking out. Reacting to My Halloween Writing Prompts!

This is one of my last posts before Halloween, so: Happy Halloween, everyone! Grammar Police - American InterContinental University

A few weeks ago, I applied for an admissions job at the American InterContinental University (a school I'd never heard of before).  Well, wouldn't you know it, I ended up getting a phone interview.  The phone interview was fine enough - though it was clear this position was not at all what I was looking for, and barely constituted as an Admissions Advisor position.  I was honest with the interviewer, telling her that I wasn't sure this job was for me - that it sounded an awful lot like my customer service call center job I'd held previously.  So, she offered to send me the detailed job overview document they normally send to people who are interviewing in person.
